Small game to be published on Itch.io with Generic Beetle. Earliest estimated completion date is Oct 2025.
You are just a little guy, on a cold winter’s day. You make your way from your apartment to work, to the soup shop for lunch. You wear the uniform of the city - a hat, a scarf, gloves and a warm overcoat. You feel tired, cold, but your shell protects the warm kernel of heat that is you. You are buffeted by wind, rattled by the movements of the tram that carries you to and from the places you need to be. This is an atmospheric piece, about living in a cold city, but feeling a sense of belonging. You possess the knowledges of this unfriendly place. You know the best soup place, you know the texture of the pavement and you know that this winter will end, as it always does. You know how to live here.

bedbourne was a short game I made for Express Media's 2024 digital storytelling course. Music and audio is by Chloe Holt Through interacting with elements in bed, the player is able to reflect upon a life with limited mobility/energy and find meaning in the exploration of the familiar. bedbourne began by experimentation with the conventions of the classic point-and-click "room".
Something to change in the future would be to pay more attention to how resolution affects browser games. I wanted the bed background to fill the page, but I think because of the resolution, I wasn't able to fix that post-publication.
"The Nightmare" is a short twine piece about a lonely monster.

Content warnings: This piece contains coercive and abusive behaviours, though much of it is abstracted through the dreamlike quality of the story.
